N1MM logger configuration for YAESU FT-991 / FT-991A radios

How to configure the contest software N1MM Logger to be use with the Yaesu FT-991 radio for CW.
Using only one USB cable between the radio and the computer, enabling to send CAT commands and pre recorded CW messages with the F1 to F10 keys.
USB driver:
In order to make the FT991 transceiver communicating with your computer you need to install a dedicated USB driver which can be downloaded on the YAESU website. www.yaesu.com
Select the FT-991 radio then click to the 'Files' TAB
Download and install the SCU-17 USB Driver (Virtual COM Port Driver) on your computer.
This will give you two new COM ports as follow:

Note:
Write down the number of each COM port as it will be most likely different from the above settings.

FT-991 configuration
On the radio press the [MENU SETUP] button and set the values as follow:

N1MM Logger configuration
On the N1MM menu, select Config => Configure ports, Mode Control... select the Hardware TAB set the values as follow: :

COM10 settings
The enhanced COM port is used to send the CAT commands to the radio (Band, Mode, PTT).
Click on the [Set] button and set the values as follow:

COM11 settings
The standard COM port is used to send CW messages to the radio with the function keys (F1 to F10)
Click on the [Set] button and set the values as follow:

Those above settings work on my ACER laptop computer with Windows 10
